Empowering artists.

We are recognizing and honoring the vital role artists have in political and social history.

In our society we have multiple forms of visual content where the aesthetic culture has an opportunity, ability, and responsibility to illustrate the truth about complicated structures of a social culture and justice.

The Black Box Press Foundation wants to recognize and honor the vital role artists have in political and social history as well as be a source to continue the rich and varied tradition of artists having an active and leading role in social dialogue.

In order to operate successfully within this nuanced topography, we need to examine, evaluate, and execute with resources to move the narrative towards justice!

Art As Activism

The Black Box Press Studio - Art As Activism (BBPS – AAA) mission is to support artists in the production of an exhibition that brings together the creative energy of the arts to move us emotionally with the strategic planning of activism necessary to bring about social change. Social change doesn’t just happen, it materializes because people decide to make a change and take action.
